The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has congratulated its Muslim members and the wider Muslim Ummah on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement issued on Friday, the NBA President, Afam Osigwe, described the occasion as a reminder of the core virtues of sacrifice, discipline, compassion, and devotion to Almighty Allah.

The association noted that the Ramadan period, observed through fasting, prayers, and acts of charity, reinforces values that align closely with the principles of justice, equity, and service to humanity.

According to the NBA, the lessons of Ramadan should not end with the celebration. The body urged Nigerians to embrace peace, tolerance, and unity as families and communities come together to mark the festive season.

“At a time when our country continues to navigate complex social and economic challenges, the spirit of Eid calls on us all, regardless of faith or background, to renew our commitment to justice, compassion, and nation-building,” the statement read.

The NBA also prayed that the celebration would bring hope, abundant blessings, and lasting peace to every home across the country.
