Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi could be on his way to Manchester United in a surprise transfer next year, according to reports from BILD.
Adeyemi’s future at the Bundesliga club is reportedly unsettled after three years at Dortmund. The 23-year-old, who emerged as a teenager at Red Bull Salzburg, has seen his relationship with manager Niko Kovac strain recently.
United are on red alert ahead of the January transfer window, despite already spending over £200 million on forwards Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha during the summer. The club remains keen to bolster their attacking options.
This season, Adeyemi has recorded three goals and three assists in 14 games, but tensions surfaced after an incident last month. He reportedly threw a bottle at the bench following a substitution in Dortmund’s 1-0 win over Koln, prompting a public rebuke from Kovac.
With Dortmund relationships fraying and United seeking fresh attacking talent, a potential move for Adeyemi could be one of the most talked-about transfers of the upcoming window.
