LASUBEB fetes Lagos Pupils at Yuletide

In the spirit of the Yuletide festivities, Lagos State Government puts smiles on children’ faces including special needs pupils in her Local Government Education Areas.

The event which held in Maryland, Lagos, had in attendance various education stakeholders with students and pupils from Alimosho, Badagry, Oshodi lsolo Ajeromi lfelodun Apapa,

Agege Kosofe Surulere lfako ljayi, Eti Osa, Amuwo Odofin Lagos Mainland ,Ojo and all the LGEAs. Representing Hon. Wahab Alawiye-King, Executive Chairman LASUBEB, Dr. Saheed Ibikunle, Board Member, said that “In Lagos State every child matters to us, every pupil counts.

”There is ability in disability. They are special and useful to us with their potentials and talents.we at the board is also elated associated with them.”

He urged parents and guardians to cater all children includiing special needs children , who are endowed with various potentials which can only be realized through exposure to basic education.

They displayed their talents ,gift and skills in their drama, singing ,dancing skills.He appreciated the pupils and teachers for not letting down especially during post COVID-19 era” The children thrilled the audience with popular Christmas carols ‘Angels from the realms of glory’, ‘Joy of world’, ‘O Come All Ye Faithfully’, and ‘Once ln A Royal David City.’

Other activities were Bible lessons, dancing competition singing Carols, drama , chorography Bible quiz and the children were excited with the gifts bags drinks and food from Board.

There were also 3 Winners of the Bible quiz.ln his message titled Christ in Me, Hope of Glory, Dr Akinusi Akintunde , said Jesus was born to the world to give hope to mankind he urged them to emulate Christ’ s good deeds. He wishes them the best in celebration of yuletide season and prosperous New Year.

Akintunde urged the parents to train children in Godly ways so they can add value to the society. Other speakers were Hon. Sherifat Adefuye, Mrs Okoroafor. graced the event.
