Dangote Cement Plc is set to engage international investors in London as Nigeria returns to the FTSE Russell Frontier Market indices.
The cement manufacturer will hold a Capital Market Day in London on September 21, providing investors with an opportunity to hear directly from its management about the company’s performance, strategy and expansion plans.
The engagement comes as Nigeria’s return to the frontier-market indices is expected to renew international attention on the country’s equities market.
Dangote Cement, one of the largest companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange, is among the Nigerian companies that could benefit from increased investor interest in local assets.
The company is also advancing plans for a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange after shareholders approved the proposal.
The planned London engagement will be supported by strong financial results recorded during the first half of 2026.
Dangote Cement reported revenue of N2.51 trillion in the period, representing a 21.4 per cent increase from N2.07 trillion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.
Profit before tax rose by 34.4 per cent to N981.39 billion, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation increased by 25.8 per cent to N1.19 trillion.
Earnings per share also rose by 24.3 per cent to N38.22.
The company’s export business recorded significant growth during the period, with cement and clinker exports from Nigeria increasing by 62.3 per cent to 1.1 million tonnes.
Ghana, Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire were among the West African markets that received increased volumes from Nigeria.
At group level, sales volumes rose by 11.8 per cent to 14.94 million tonnes.
The company’s share price has also recorded a strong year-to-date performance, gaining about 69.79 per cent to trade at N1,034 per share, according to the report.
The London Capital Market Day is expected to provide the company with an opportunity to communicate its growth plans and investment outlook to international investors.
It also comes at a time when Nigerian companies are seeking greater visibility and improved access to international capital markets.
