Afrinvest Limited has announced plans to promote Islamic investment products as part of efforts to expand access to ethical and Shariah-compliant investment opportunities in Kano State.
The company’s Manager of the Kano Office, Kabir Ibrahim, disclosed this during an investment awareness roadshow organised by the firm in Kano.
Ibrahim said the campaign was designed to educate residents about investment opportunities in the capital market and help them make informed financial decisions while adhering to their religious and ethical values.
He identified the company’s Halal Fund and Islamic estate planning services as some of the products that would be promoted during the campaign.
According to him, the initiative would also create awareness about different investment instruments and how members of the public could generate returns from their investments.
Ibrahim said Afrinvest had been operating in Kano for two years and had been in existence for about 30 years.
He explained that the roadshow was intended to deepen the company’s presence in the state and reassure residents of its commitment to providing investment solutions tailored to their needs.
The manager described Afrinvest as a capital market holding company with operations across different segments of the financial market.
He said the company had about seven subsidiaries, including Afrinvest Asset Management, Afrinvest Securities, Afrinvest Trustees and Afrinvest Consulting.
Ibrahim added that one of the company’s subsidiaries assists organisations in raising capital, while its microfinance arm was currently being developed.
He urged residents to explore investment opportunities that align with their financial goals and seek professional advice before committing their funds.
He also encouraged members of the public interested in Shariah-compliant investments to consider products such as the Halal Fund and Islamic estate planning services.
The initiative comes as financial institutions and investment firms seek to improve public awareness of capital market products and expand participation among groups that may have specific religious or ethical investment preferences.
However, investors are expected to assess the risks, terms and suitability of any investment product before making financial commitments.
