APC Hails Tinubu’s Security Measures as Historic Step to Stabilize Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declares State of Emergency on Security and approves 50,000 new police recruits.

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for taking “concrete, historic steps” to secure Nigeria and restore national stability amid rising insecurity.

APC spokesman Mogaji Seye Oladejo highlighted Tinubu’s declaration of a State of Emergency on Security as a bold move demonstrating zero tolerance for terrorism, sabotage, and criminality.

Oladejo noted that the president has approved the recruitment of an additional 20,000 police officers, bringing the total number of new recruits under his administration to 50,000 – the largest security expansion in recent Nigerian history.

“Unlike the empty talkers masquerading as statesmen, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is taking concrete, historic steps to secure Nigeria and restore national stability,” Oladejo said. “These are not cosmetic gestures. These are strategic, far-reaching actions by a President who refuses to surrender one inch of Nigerian territory to terrorists or their political sponsors.”

He added that while the opposition focuses on fear and criticism, Tinubu is delivering capacity and strengthening security at home.
