Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has tied the knot with his wife, Chioma Adeleke, in a grand white wedding ceremony in Miami, United States.
The glamorous celebration, held on Sunday, attracted an elite guest list, including billionaire Aliko Dangote, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and music stars Zlatan Ibile, Adekunle Gold, and Teni. Others in attendance included nightlife mogul Obi Cubana and talent manager Ubi Franklin.
The emotional peak of the evening came when Davido, visibly moved, addressed his bride:
“Chioma, I have been on many stages, but this is the most nervous I have ever been. You are my love, my peace, my home… You saw the real me, the me the world doesn’t see, and you still chose me.”
Chioma dazzled in a white gown as the couple exchanged vows, receiving blessings from clergy in what marked their third wedding ceremony—following a court wedding in March 2023 and a traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.
The 32-year-old Grammy-nominated singer reportedly spent $3.7 million on the Miami event and surprised Chioma with a $300,000 (₦460 million) Richard Mille wristwatch. The reception saw Davido perform live, with Chioma joining him on the dance floor.
Adding a deeply personal touch, Davido wore customised cufflinks featuring a photo of their late son, Ifeanyi, as a tribute to his memory.
The couple’s love story began over a decade ago at Babcock University, blossoming into a relationship that has endured public scrutiny, personal loss, and life’s ups and downs. They welcomed twins in 2023, sealing what Davido has often described as his “greatest blessing.”
