Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and around the world, calling for unity, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to national development.
In his Eid message, the President described the festival as a reminder of the enduring values of faith, obedience, and selflessness exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
He urged Nigerians of all faiths to embrace compassion and unity, stressing that Eid-el-Kabir is a call to strengthen bonds across religious and ethnic lines.
Tinubu noted that Nigeria is undergoing a period of economic and institutional reforms, which he described as difficult but necessary for long-term national progress.
He said the sacrifices made in recent years were beginning to yield results, pointing to what he called improved economic stability and growing investor confidence.
“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” the President said, expressing optimism about the country’s economic direction.
The President also addressed ongoing security challenges, acknowledging continued attacks in some parts of the country despite efforts by security agencies.
He referenced recent operations against extremist groups, including the reported elimination of a wanted ISIS-linked leader, while assuring citizens that government remains committed to defeating terrorism and banditry.
Tinubu urged religious faithful to use the Eid celebration to pray for peace, national stability, and wisdom for leaders, while also encouraging acts of charity and support for the less privileged.
He called on Nigerians to strengthen national unity and remain hopeful about the country’s future, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to security, infrastructure development, agriculture, and human capital investment.
The President concluded by wishing Muslims a peaceful and blessed Eid al-Kabir, praying for continued progress for the country.
