LCCI Partners Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Host Invest Nigeria Business Conference 2024

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is set to host the 2024 LCCI International Business Conference & Expo under the theme “Invest Nigeria.” The event aims to introduce 15 Unicorn Companies to the Nigerian Economy, sign landmark investment agreements between Nigeria and other countries, and facilitate the setting up of 1500 new startups across Africa.

Scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 27th, and Wednesday, 28th August 2024, at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, the conference is expected to be a gathering of key stakeholders in the business and investment sectors, both locally and internationally.

The highlights of the event include a Business Forum headlined by top government officials such as the Presidency, Heads of Government, State Governors, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, and Leaders of the organized private sector. This forum will provide a platform for discussions on investment opportunities, policies, and strategies to attract foreign direct investment into Nigeria.

Before the keynote address, there will be a Governor’s session where five State Governors will showcase investment opportunities in their respective states and the available incentives for potential investors.

Additionally, the conference will feature ten Business to Business Sessions focusing on key sectors such as Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Fintech, Textile, and Creative Arts. These sessions aim to foster partnerships, collaborations, and business opportunities within and beyond Nigeria’s borders.

Moreover, six Government to Government meetings will be held between representatives of the Nigerian government and their counterparts from other countries to discuss bilateral cooperation, trade agreements, and investment opportunities.

The Expo section of the event will host delegates and exhibitors from at least 50 different countries, providing a platform for networking, showcasing products and services, and exploring potential business opportunities.

Overall, the 2024 LCCI International Business Conference & Expo promises to be a significant platform for promoting investment, fostering partnerships, and driving economic growth in Nigeria and across Africa.
