The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, adjusting key internal processes including screening, primaries, appeals, and the sale of nomination forms.

The announcement was made on Monday from the party’s National Secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja, in a notice signed by National Organising Secretary Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu and confirmed by National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka.

According to the party, the schedule aligns with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines for the 2027 general elections.

The sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms is scheduled to run from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while submission of completed forms will close on May 4, 2026. Screening of aspirants across all elective positions—including State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship, and presidential candidates—will take place between May 6 and May 9, 2026.

Screening appeals for House of Assembly and House of Representatives aspirants are set for May 12 and May 13, 2026. Primary elections will begin on May 15, 2026, starting with House of Representatives contests and concluding with presidential primaries on May 23, 2026.

The party also announced the cost of nomination forms across various positions. House of Assembly aspirants will pay ₦1 million for Expression of Interest and ₦5 million for nomination, while House of Representatives aspirants will pay ₦1 million and ₦9 million respectively. Senate aspirants are required to pay ₦3 million and ₦17 million, governorship aspirants ₦10 million and ₦40 million, and presidential aspirants ₦30 million and ₦70 million.

However, the APC introduced concessions for women, youths, and persons with disabilities, who will pay only the Expression of Interest fee and 50 percent of the nomination fee for their chosen offices.

All payments are to be made into designated party accounts with Union Bank, UBA, and Zenith Bank, the party confirmed.

The APC said the revised timetable is intended to streamline internal processes and ensure better coordination ahead of the 2027 elections, as political activities across Nigeria intensify under the framework of the Electoral Act 2026 and INEC guidelines.
