President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of former Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef as Chairman Board of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
A statement from the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning said the new appointments and reappointments had become necessary “to avoid vacuum” following the reconstitution of the board by the President.
Buhari also approved the appointment of some new members and the reappointment of some existing members to the NDIC Board.
Other new appointees include Prof. Osita Ogbu, Umar Gambo Jibrin, Mohammed Attahiru Haruna, Yasmin Zabath Dalhatu; Simon Ogie, and Abimbola Olashore.
The reappointed members are: Bello Hassan, Managing Director; Mustapha M. Ibrahim, Executive Director Operations; and Mrs. Emily Osuji, Executive Director Corporate Services.
