Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Publisher City People Seye Kehinde at 60

A Diamond Jubilee for a Media Icon: Celebrating Dr. Seye Kehinde’s Legacy in Journalism and Empowerment

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the Publisher of City People Magazine and CEO of City People Entertainment Awards, Dr Seye Kehinde, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, described Seye Kehinde as a respected, dedicated and principled journalist, who has become a role model to professionals in the media industry.

He said the Publisher of City People Magazine has also empowered many Nigerians economically by providing them job opportunities at his youthful and entertaining media company.

Governor Sanwo-Olu said Seye Kehinde has used his skill as an experienced journalist and Publisher of one of the oldest soft-sell magazines to bring positive change to the society through robust and objective reporting.

The Governor also praised Kehinde’s positive impact and contribution to the growth and development of the media industry in Nigeria through his reporting and managerial skills in many newspapers and magazines he worked for.

He said: “On behalf of the Government and the people of Lagos State, I congratulate the Publisher of City People Magazine, Dr Seye Kehinde on his Diamond Jubilee celebration.

“As Dr. Seye Kehinde celebrates his 60th birthday, I pray that God will increase him in good health to enable him to render more service to humanity, the media industry and Nigeria.”
