JMG Advocates for Renewable Energy Growth in Nigeria, Celebrates Solar Appreciation Day

JMG Limited champions solar power and sustainable energy solutions in Nigeria, driving awareness and investment in renewable energy technologies.

JMG Limited, a leading provider of electro-mechanical solutions in Nigeria, marked Solar Appreciation Day with a high-visibility road walk aimed at raising awareness of renewable energy innovations and sustainable engineering solutions.

The event, part of the company’s broader commitment to sustainable development, focused on the pivotal role of solar power and other renewable energy sources in Nigeria’s energy transition.

The advocacy walk, which brought together JMG employees, industry stakeholders, and sustainability advocates, sought to highlight the importance of engineering solutions in advancing Nigeria’s energy transition.

The initiative is in line with the company’s ongoing efforts to promote clean energy adoption, reduce environmental impact, and foster sustainable infrastructure development.

Group General Manager Rabi Jammal emphasized that the road walk was not just about celebrating solar energy but also about engaging the public on the critical role of engineering in driving sustainable change.

“As the world transitions towards cleaner and more efficient energy solutions, engineering remains the driving force behind innovation and progress. Our road walk serves as a platform to engage the public on the pivotal role of engineering in shaping a more sustainable future,” Jammal said.

The event coincided with JMG’s recent celebration of World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED) on March 4, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to energy efficiency, technological advancements, and global sustainability goals.

Participants in the walk wore branded T-shirts showcasing JMG’s expertise in solar power, traditional power generation, electrical systems, vertical transportation, air compression, and cooling solutions.

Since 2018, JMG has made significant strides in the renewable energy sector, expanding its offerings to include inverters, batteries, and alternative power solutions.

In 2024, the company strengthened its position in Nigeria’s renewable energy market by introducing products like LONGi solar panels, Deye lithium batteries, and Must solar inverters, all designed to provide customers with innovative and efficient energy alternatives.

Beyond energy, JMG continues to contribute to sustainable urban development by leveraging engineering innovations to enhance infrastructure, reduce energy waste, and promote industrial efficiency.

These efforts align with the company’s dedication to advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

JMG’s advocacy for renewable energy and engineering-led development is a call to action for stakeholders, policymakers, and the public to invest in cleaner, more energy-efficient solutions.

As the company leads the conversation on sustainable infrastructure, it encourages meaningful changes to create a greener, more sustainable future for Nigeria.
