The Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps has called for spiritual intervention alongside military strategies in addressing the security challenges facing Nigeria.
The Corps Commanding Officer of the organisation, Daniel Joe Alimi, made the appeal in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Alimi stressed that Nigeria’s transformation goes beyond politics and requires a strong spiritual commitment from citizens and leaders.
According to him, national restoration can only be achieved when citizens align their actions with faith and a sense of purpose.
“Nigeria’s transformation is not just a political process—it is a spiritual responsibility. When we align our hearts with God and our actions with purpose, national restoration becomes inevitable. Nigeria is a sovereign nation under God as it is clearly enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
The statement also highlighted the chaplain’s role in promoting spiritual reawakening and national consciousness at a time when the country continues to face complex security and moral challenges.
According to the organisation, Alimi’s advocacy reflects a strong belief that Nigeria can overcome its difficulties through a combination of spiritual revival and strategic leadership.
The group described him as a leader who has continued to champion faith, patriotism and national service through his role in the corps.
It noted that through his leadership of the Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps, he has remained committed to fostering unity, moral discipline and collaboration among security and government agencies across the country.
The organisation maintained that a balanced approach that combines spiritual guidance with practical security measures is essential for achieving lasting peace and national stability.
