Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operators of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), has once again partnered with MBR Signature Events and Entertainment Company, alongside Wema Bank, to usher in the spirit of Christmas at the terminal through a colourful festive light-up ceremony.
Welcoming guests to the event, the Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head, Space & Premises Management, Mr. Kola Bamigboye, expressed delight at hosting the ceremony and announced Wema Bank as the official sponsor of this year’s Christmas festivities at MMA2.
He noted that MBR Signature, in partnership with BASL, has consistently brought colour, creativity and warmth to the terminal during past festive seasons, adding that the collaboration with Wema Bank has further elevated the experience for passengers and visitors.
According to him, the partnership reflects BASL’s commitment to enhancing customer experience and creating memorable moments for all airport users during the Yuletide season.
The Christmas Light-Up event featured special carols and musical performances, officially marking the start of the festive season at MMA2 and creating a warm and joyful ambience for passengers and visitors.
While officially lighting up the terminal, the Head, Brand and Marketing, Wema Bank, Mabel Adekeye, expressed the bank’s excitement about partnering with BASL to bring the Christmas experience closer to the travelling public.
She thanked BASL for the opportunity and reaffirmed Wema Bank’s commitment to enhancing customer experience through meaningful engagements.
In his remarks, the Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head, Aeronautics & Cargo Services, Remi Jibodu, appreciated the airlines and passengers who have continued to patronise MMA2 throughout the year.
He said the festive light-up was a symbolic way for BASL to reflect, celebrate and appreciate its customers, adding that “Detty December truly begins here at MMA2, the gateway to the festive experience.”
Jibodu also highlighted the enduring partnership with MBR Signature, which facilitated the collaboration with Wema Bank, the sponsor of the Christmas decorations and ongoing festivities within the terminal.
Also speaking, the Group Head, High-Value Segment & Diaspora Banking, Wema Bank, Olutayo Oladipo, said the bank is fully ready for “Detty December” and deliberately chose the airport as a platform for its festive campaign.
She encouraged passengers to enjoy the season responsibly while cultivating strong savings habits, assuring customers of Wema Bank’s continued support with innovative financial solutions throughout the holiday period.
