Nollywood actress Uche Montana has denied any involvement in the alleged drug abuse issues within the household of fellow actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Montana addressed the claims in a statement shared on her Instagram page on Monday, responding to accusations made by Nwoko on Facebook. The senator alleged that Regina’s siblings and close friends, including Montana and actress Sonia Uche, were sabotaging his wife’s rehabilitation by defying medical instructions and providing her with substances she was being treated for.
In her statement, Montana clarified:
“My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims. For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace.”
Her response comes amid growing public scrutiny over the marriage of Daniels and Nwoko. Two weeks ago, Regina Daniels went viral with claims that she had been subjected to domestic abuse, describing herself as a “slave” in her husband’s home.
Senator Nwoko countered these allegations, stating that his wife was struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and accused her of violent behavior toward domestic staff. Regina, however, accused her husband of hypocrisy, claiming he introduced her to substances he now blames for her struggles. She also alleged being confined, having her phones seized, and experiencing sexual coercion.
The controversy continues to attract widespread attention, with both parties presenting conflicting narratives regarding the state of their marriage and Daniels’ well-being.
