The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has been honoured with the National Integrity, Leadership, and Development Award as “Most Efficient Aviation Agency” by the Centre for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment (CECOE).
The award was presented during the 2025 Summit and Awards Ceremony held in Abuja, in recognition of NAMA’s exceptional commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability in the aviation industry.
According to the organizers, the honour highlights NAMA’s consistent efforts to uphold the highest standards of efficiency, ethics, and professionalism in its operations.
“NAMA’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability has set a new standard in the aviation industry, ensuring efficiency in its processes and overall safety in the Nigerian airspace. The agency’s excellent performance is a reflection of the exceptional leadership and management style of its MD/CE, Engr. Ahmed Umar Farouk,” the citation read.
The Centre described Engr. Farouk as “a visionary technocrat and reformer in the aviation sector,” noting that his transformational leadership continues to strengthen Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure and institutional credibility.
Also honoured at the event was Dr. Abdullahi Musa, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NAMA, who received the Individual Integrity Award for his role in promoting transparency and accountability in the agency’s engagement with stakeholders and the public.
According to his citation, “Dr. Musa’s professionalism and dedication to transparent communication have been instrumental in fostering trust and confidence among NAMA’s stakeholders and the travelling public.”
