Chioma Adeleke, wife of Afrobeats star Davido, has paid an emotional tribute to her late son, Ifeanyi, who passed away in October 2022.
On Thursday morning, Chioma took to Instagram to share photos of her wedding bouquet, which had Ifeanyi’s image pinned to it. She wrote:
“My best friend walked me into forever…. Ify, you’re on my mind every day and you live in my heart. Always and forever. Love, mummy.”
Davido, who also honoured their son during their wedding by wearing cufflinks engraved with Ifeanyi’s picture, responded to Chioma’s post with the heartfelt words: “Till Infinity.”
Ifeanyi, the couple’s first child together, tragically died at the age of three after drowning in a swimming pool at the family’s Banana Island residence in Lagos. The incident drew widespread sympathy from fans and celebrities across Nigeria and the world.
Davido and Chioma recently celebrated their white wedding in Miami on August 10, 2025, marking the grand finale of their love journey after a court marriage in March 2023 and a traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.
