The Uganda High Commission in Nigeria has confirmed its participation in the 2026 IPADA Initiatives Celebration, scheduled to take place from December 3 to 7, 2026, at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, Ikegun, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
The confirmation followed a formal invitation from the Founder of the IPADA Initiative, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, who invited Uganda to join the annual event promoting African unity, tourism, cultural exchange, investment and diaspora engagement.
In its response, the Uganda High Commission expressed its readiness to participate in the celebration alongside other African countries and members of the global African diaspora.
The organisers said the 2026 edition is expected to attract Africans and friends of Africa from around the world, providing a platform to showcase the continent’s rich cultural heritage, strengthen partnerships and explore investment opportunities across various sectors.
According to the organisers, the five-day event will host thousands of participants physically, while millions of viewers are expected to follow the activities digitally from across Africa and the global diaspora.
The programme will feature a range of cultural, tourism and business-focused activities, including the Business Unusual Investment Picnic, Carnival Parade, Nefertiti: Queen of Africa Pageant, African Naming Ceremony, Africa International Music Festival (AIM Festival), Cultural Tours, IPADA Green Legacy Programme and Beach Olympics.
Founder of the IPADA Initiative, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, said the event remains committed to promoting Africa through culture, tourism and business.
He welcomed Uganda’s participation, expressing optimism that more African countries would join the celebration in Lagos to strengthen continental unity, attract investment and foster shared prosperity.
The organisers added that the 2026 IPADA Initiatives Celebration aims to showcase Africa’s tourism potential, highlight investment opportunities, promote cultural heritage and strengthen collaboration between African nations and the global diaspora.
