Transcorp Hilton Abuja has clarified reports circulating on social media regarding a recent disruption in water supply, stating that the incident was temporary and has since been fully resolved.

In a statement, the hotel explained that the interruption resulted from emergency maintenance work carried out by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board, which began on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

Management said the disruption lasted only one day and affected water supply to the facility during the maintenance period.

According to the hotel, contingency measures were immediately activated to ensure continuous water availability and to maintain guest comfort and uninterrupted operations.

The hotel further clarified that water supply was fully restored on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, and has remained stable since then.

“Contrary to false and misleading social media reports, water supply was fully restored on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Since then, the hotel has maintained consistent and uninterrupted water supply and continues to operate at full capacity across all outlets,” the statement said.

Management emphasized that the hotel continues to operate normally and remains committed to delivering high standards of hospitality and guest experience.

It also expressed appreciation to guests and stakeholders for their understanding during the brief disruption.

The clarification comes amid viral social media claims suggesting prolonged water supply challenges at the hotel, which management has now dismissed as inaccurate.

Transcorp Hilton Abuja reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining operational excellence and ensuring minimal disruption to guest services in the future.
