SGF Issues Warning Against Fraudulent Federal Appointments Scam

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) has issued a stern warning to the public regarding fake appointments circulating in various mediums with the intent of deceiving unsuspecting individuals.

In an official statement, the SGF denounced the misinformation proliferating through social media, emails, text messages, and other channels, urging individuals to submit their Curriculum Vitae for a fee to a non-existent desk within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The fraudulent scheme promises facilitation of selection for various federal government appointments.

The mastermind behind this scam has been identified as using the name of the former Director of Information, Willie Bassey, along with deceptive contacts, including Aliyu Isah with phone numbers +234 9168487156 and +234 8035557865, as well as the email address draliyu95@gmail.com, among others, to carry out these fraudulent activities and defraud unsuspecting Nigerians.

The SGF, through this notice, cautions the general public to exercise caution and vigilance against falling victim to these dubious activities orchestrated by the fraudsters. The SGF emphasizes that the information circulating is entirely false and advises citizens to disregard any such solicitations.

For official inquiries and clarifications, the public is urged to use the official communication channels of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, accessible via osgf.gov.ng and info@osgf.gov.ng.
