DG NCAC commiserates with flood victims as Eko NAFEST 2022 begins

The Director General  National Council for Arts and Culture Otunba Segun  Runsewe has expressed sadness over the loss of lives experienced by victims of the floods witnessed across various parts of the country in recent times.

He was speaking at the command performance of the National Festival of arts and culture which held on Monday at the National Stadium Surulere Lagos.

According to him delegates from various parts of the country have started arriving for the week long event over the weekend and two of such states have come from regions where the floods have occurred sweeping homes and livelihood of residents with it.

He described their readiness to participate at this year’s event as resilience and courage which typical of Nigerians.

The command performance comes ahead of the opening ceremony scheduled to hold on Wednesday at the National Stadium Onikan Lagos.
