Entrepreneur and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the party’s House of Representatives primary election in Imo State.

He had previously shown interest in contesting the APC ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a series of Instagram stories posted on Sunday, Okechukwu emphasized his continued support for President Tinubu and the ruling party’s agenda.

“For the record, my commitment to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 remains absolute and unwavering,” he wrote, adding that he would continue mobilising support for the administration’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.

He also declared his loyalty to the APC, stating that the party remains his political home “today and always.”

According to him, he stepped back from participating in the primaries after consultations with Hope Uzodimma and other party leaders.

He explained that the decision was influenced by the party’s zoning arrangement, which reportedly allows Orlu Local Government Area to retain the House of Representatives seat for two terms before rotation to another area.

Cubana Chief Priest said he respected the party’s position, noting that he ultimately chose not to participate in the primaries despite earlier interest.

“In respect for the party and its leadership, I chose not to proceed to the field,” he stated, adding that he did not attend the primaries venue and returned to Lagos instead.

He also dismissed reports claiming he contested and received only 14 votes, describing them as false and misleading.

Despite stepping aside, he said his political engagement helped raise awareness and participation within the constituency.

Following the development, Seyi Tinubu reportedly sent a message of encouragement, urging him to remain resilient after the setback.

Cubana Chief Priest, who serves as Imo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, remains a visible supporter of the current administration and its political agenda.
