Cristiano Ronaldo has been urged to retire. The 38-year-old cut a frustrated figure as Al-Nassr suffered elimination in the Saudi King Cup.

Since Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr, the Riyadh-based club have been bundled out of the Saudi Super Cup, lost their first position in the Saudi League and have now been eliminated from the King Cup.

Football fans took to social media to call on Cristiano Ronaldo to consider retiring from professional football following Al-Nassr’s shock exit from the Saudi King Cup on Monday night.

Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr teammates suffered another setback in their recent run of games, losing narrowly to Al Wehda in the semifinal of the competition.

He got agonizingly close to clawing his side back from the jaws of defeat, but his efforts failed to land the expected results as Jean-David Beauguel’s first-half strike proved to be the difference between the two sides, Sportskeeda reports.

Social media users took turns to troll the former Real Madrid goal machine, with a number urging him to consider calling time on his career.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cristiano Ronaldo was left in complete shock as Al-Nassr crashed out of the Saudi King Cup.

Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr failed to recover from a first-half strike from Al Wehda’s Jean-David Beauguel as the home side were bundled out of the competition with a one-nil defeat on Monday night.

He cut a frustrated figure at half-time, fuming at the technical bench and was in utter disbelief after the blast of the final whistle. – Sports Brief
