Access Holdings Plc has again postponed the publication of its audited financial results for the first half of 2026, after receiving another extension from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).

The company had initially been expected to publish its H1 results by September 30, 2026. However, the deadline passed without the results being released because the company is still awaiting the required regulatory approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Access Holdings disclosed the development in a regulatory filing on October 2, explaining that the additional time would allow it to complete the outstanding regulatory process before publishing the financial statements.

The company did not announce a new specific date for the release of the results. It said the accounts would be published promptly once the required approval is obtained and that investors would be informed of any significant development.

The delay is important to investors because the H1 results will provide updated information about the group’s earnings, asset quality, capital position, loan growth and other areas of its financial performance.

Access Holdings had earlier reported a strong first quarter. Its profit before tax rose to N272.21 billion, representing a 22.19 per cent increase compared with N222.78 billion recorded in the same period of 2025. Profit after tax also increased by 18.49 per cent to N216.54 billion.

However, the company’s first-quarter results also showed some pressure. Net interest income declined by 26.68 per cent, while impairment charges increased significantly by 239.04 per cent. Operating expenses also rose during the period.

The latest extension is the second delay involving Access Holdings’ H1 2026 audited results. The company had previously received an extension to September 30 while it completed the audit and sought CBN approval.

The development comes amid wider delays affecting the publication of audited half-year results by some Nigerian banks. Investors are closely watching the regulatory approval process because the delayed reports contain important information needed to assess banks’ profitability, capital strength and potential dividend payments.

Access Holdings has assured shareholders that it remains committed to fulfilling its reporting obligations and maintaining communication with the market.
