The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has taken further steps to strengthen security across Nigeria’s seaports and waterfronts with the donation of security equipment to the Ports Authority Police Western Command.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to improve the capacity of security personnel operating within the nation’s maritime environment and ensure safer port operations.
The security equipment was presented on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, on behalf of the NPA Managing Director, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, by the Port Manager of the Lagos Port Complex, Mr. Adebowale Lawal, alongside other senior officials of the authority.
The donation is expected to support the Ports Authority Police in carrying out their responsibilities and maintaining security within and around port facilities.
