The All Progressives Congress has announced that aspirants seeking national offices will undergo screening on Tuesday, March 24, ahead of its National Convention slated for March 25–28, 2026.
The screening exercise will take place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. In a notice issued on Sunday, the Secretary of the Aspirants’ Screening Committee, Alhaji Isa Yuguda, stated that only aspirants who have purchased and submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms are eligible.
“All aspirants are required to appear in person and must bring all relevant supporting documents for verification,” Yuguda said, urging candidates to arrive early to ensure a smooth process.
The APC had unveiled a detailed timetable in December 2025 for its nationwide ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses, which concluded with the national convention. The process began with membership e-registration from December 1, 2025, to January 30, 2026, and progressed through the issuance of notices for congresses, submission of forms, and screenings at various levels.
Ward, LGA, state, and zonal congresses have been conducted, alongside the hearing of appeals arising from each stage. The culmination of these activities is the party’s national convention, where elected leaders and delegates will formalize the party’s agenda and leadership structures.
