Governors Dauda Lawal and Caleb Mutfwang have called on Muslim faithful to intensify prayers for peace, unity, and national development as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement issued in Gusau, Governor Lawal congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the 30-day Ramadan fast, describing the occasion as a time for gratitude, renewal, and reflection.

He noted that the holy month of Ramadan promotes patience, discipline, empathy, and a deeper spiritual connection, urging citizens to sustain these values beyond the fasting period.

“Eid-el-Fitr is a joyous occasion that calls for unity and renewed commitment to peace in Zamfara and across Nigeria,” the governor said, adding that collective responsibility and mutual care are essential to building a better society.

He further prayed for a peaceful celebration and expressed hope for improved economic prosperity, good health, and lasting peace in the state and the nation.

Similarly, in Jos, Governor Caleb Mutfwang urged Muslims to promote peaceful coexistence and uphold the virtues of love, charity, and selflessness.

Describing Eid-el-Fitr as a significant milestone in the Islamic faith, Mutfwang commended the Muslim community for their devotion during Ramadan and called for continued commitment to unity and tolerance.

“As you celebrate, reflect on the values that define this season and work together to build a more peaceful and prosperous society,” he said.

He also appealed to citizens to remain law-abiding and support government policies aimed at economic growth and sustainable development, while praying for divine guidance for leaders at all levels.

The governors’ messages highlight a shared call for harmony and collective action as Nigerians mark the end of Ramadan and celebrate one of Islam’s most important festivals.
