The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has summoned the two warring factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for a troubleshooting meeting at its headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting, which is currently ongoing, brings together the Tanimu Turaki-led faction and the Nyesom Wike-backed Abdulrahman Mohammed faction.

Accompanying Turaki are members of his National Working Committee (NWC), secretariat staff, and former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu. Mohammed, on the other hand, arrived with members of his national caretaker committee, including the party secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu.

The session aims to address internal disputes within the PDP and seek pathways to reconcile the factions ahead of upcoming political activities.
