Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign Brazilian winger Savinho for an initial £75 million, with a further £10 million available in potential add-ons.

The 22-year-old is expected to undergo a medical before completing his move to north London and signing a long-term contract with Tottenham.

The agreement marks the culmination of more than a year of interest from Spurs, who attempted to sign Savinho last summer but failed to reach a deal. The Brazilian ultimately remained at Manchester City, where he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter.

Savinho made 24 Premier League appearances for City last season but started only seven matches, limiting his opportunities to secure a regular place in the team.

His arrival will take Tottenham’s spending beyond £300 million this summer as new manager Roberto De Zerbi continues to rebuild the squad.

Spurs have already invested heavily in midfield, including deals for Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali. The club have also recouped around £140 million through player sales, helping offset part of their spending.

The Savinho deal could ultimately be worth £85 million, with reports indicating that £5 million of the potential bonuses are considered highly achievable.

Tottenham are not expected to end their transfer activity with Savinho.

The club remain in advanced discussions with Manchester City over a potential deal for Omar Marmoush. The Egypt international joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for around £59 million in January 2025 but struggled to establish himself as a regular starter.

Marmoush’s possible move could form part of a major double raid on Manchester City, with Spurs also retaining an interest in Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo. However, it remains unclear whether Tottenham can finance a deal for Gakpo alongside potential moves for Marmoush and Savinho.

If both Savinho and Marmoush join, Tottenham’s summer investment could approach £400 million, highlighting the scale of De Zerbi’s squad rebuild.

Savinho’s move also represents a significant sale for Manchester City, with the proposed £85 million package potentially becoming a club-record transfer fee received by City.

Tottenham begin their Premier League campaign away to Brentford on Saturday, while Manchester City host Bournemouth on Sunday.
