President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, describing it as a barbaric and cowardly assault on innocent citizens.
The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, reportedly claimed the lives of about 30 residents, including women and children, while several houses were set ablaze.
President Tinubu described the incident as an unprovoked act of terror against defenseless civilians and vowed that those responsible would be brought to justice.
He stressed that individuals seeking to undermine the peace and security recently recorded in Kaduna State would not go unpunished.
The President extended his condolences to the bereaved families, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government and the people of Kaduna State.
Tinubu also reassured the state government and affected communities of the Federal Government’s support, pledging continued efforts to address security challenges across the country.
According to the President, he has directed the Armed Forces, the police and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations in the affected areas.
The security agencies have been tasked with tracking down the perpetrators, securing the release of any abducted persons and restoring normalcy to the community.
Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security infrastructure, equipping security personnel and dismantling criminal networks threatening the nation’s peace.
He also urged residents of affected communities to cooperate with security agencies by providing credible and actionable intelligence to support early response efforts and improve security operations.
