There has been public outcries for government to intervene in the traffic situatio n on the Lagos -Epe Express road following an accident involving a truck which killed three persons by Elegance bustop, 2nd toll gate near Chervon in Lagos.
Witnesses who spoke to AV1 News said both lanes are blocked to and fro because of the accident which resulted in slow movement of traffic along that Lekki-Epe Expressway axis,.
The truck driver ran for safety before the angry mob came in .It was alleged that mob set the truck on fire before the intervention of security agents . However, the police, Miltary men, LASMA officials were all on ground to engorce security, safety and prevention of further disaster.
Some passengers have appealed to the authorities to come to their aid as both road lanes were blocked with no access to alternative route.
“We heard sound of gun shots in the area and area boys are on ground having a swell day. We don’t want another END SARS Saga. Government should quickly intervene.-they cried out”.
One commuter lamented that besides the traffic from VGC due to road construction and he has spent three hours to get to the Mega Chicken bustop just before 2nd Lekki toll bustop.
“I am stuck in traffic l can’t go back home nor can l go further- he revealed.”
