The Minister of Youth Affairs, Ayo Olawande, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State to unite and work towards ensuring the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

Olawande made the appeal during a media chat in Akure on Friday, urging party members and youths across the state to actively participate in the party’s forthcoming presidential direct primary election scheduled for Monday.

He said the administration of President Tinubu has delivered visible development projects in Ondo State, which he argued justify continued support for a second term.

“The achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu speak for themselves, and Ondo State has been a direct beneficiary of his commitment to national development,” he said.

The minister listed ongoing federal projects in the state, including the dualisation of the Akure–Ore road, the Akure–Ado road project, and improvements in healthcare infrastructure such as the establishment and support of teaching hospitals in Akure.

He added that Ondo State currently enjoys strong representation in the Federal Executive Council, noting that the state has three serving ministers, alongside additional federal appointments.

“For the first time in our history, Ondo State has three members in the Federal Executive Council. This is unprecedented,” he said.

Olawande stressed that these developments reflect the confidence of the Tinubu administration in the state and its leadership, urging APC members to mobilise fully for internal party elections and future national contests.

“We are ready. Ondo State is ready. We will stand united to ensure that the President returns to office to continue the good work he has started,” he said.

The APC has recently intensified internal consultations and mobilisation efforts nationwide as it prepares for its presidential primary and broader electoral roadmap ahead of the 2027 elections.
