The First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has extended heartfelt felicitations to mothers nationwide in celebration of Mother’s Day 2026.

In a message released on Sunday, Mrs. Tinubu paid tribute to the love, care, and sacrifices of Nigerian mothers, recognizing their crucial role in nurturing families and contributing to national development.

“Your love, care and sacrifices do not go unnoticed. Beyond the big sacrifices, it is the small, quiet moments that truly define a mother’s love,” she said. “On this special day, we carry those moments in our hearts and say thank you for the warmth and love you selflessly give.”

Describing mothers as the true heroes of Nigeria, the First Lady emphasized their impact in shaping stable families and fostering societal growth. She encouraged mothers to continue instilling wisdom, discipline, and resilience in their children for the benefit of future generations.

“May we all live to enjoy the fruits of our labour over our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” she prayed.

Mrs. Tinubu concluded her message by wishing all Nigerian mothers a joyful and fulfilling Mother’s Day, celebrating their enduring contributions to both family and nation.
