Nigerian singer Asake, born Ahmed Ololade, has emerged as the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify Nigeria.
The global streaming platform released its list of the top five most-streamed artists in Nigeria to celebrate its fifth anniversary in the country.
Asake secured the number one position, ahead of Wizkid and Seyi Vibez, who ranked second and third respectively. Burna Boy came fourth, while Davido placed fifth.
Most-Streamed Songs in Nigeria
Asake also dominated the list of most-streamed songs of all time in Nigeria, with his track Remember taking the number one spot.
Other songs on the list include:
- Dealer by Ayo Maff and Fireboy DML (2nd)
- Awolowo by Fido (3rd)
- Kese by Wizkid (4th)
- Lonely At The Top by Asake (5th)
Spotify Kenya & Ghana Rankings
Nigerian songs also dominated Spotify Kenya’s all-time chart, with:
- Asiwaju by Ruger ranking first
- Rush by Ayra Starr second
- Bandana third
- Lonely At The Top fifth
Kenyan singer Bein’s hit Inauma claimed the fourth position.
On Spotify Ghana, Wotowoto Seasoning by Odumodublvck, featuring Black Sherif, topped the list. Asake’s Lonely At The Top ranked second, while Black Sherif occupied the third, fourth and fifth spots with his songs.
