The Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has approved the immediate redeployment of directors across four major aviation agencies, Daily Sun can report.
The redeployment affects the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), and Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB). The directive was approved by Minister Festus Keyamo and communicated via an official circular dated February 9, 2026.
Signed by Permanent Secretary Yakubu Adam Kofarmata with reference number PS/FMA/PCA/S.31/T, the circular impacts directors overseeing public affairs and consumer protection, corporate services, finance and accounts, human resource administration, and special duties.
Notable changes include:
NiMet: Funke Arowojobe, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, reassigned to NSIB in the same capacity; Dr. Nasiru Sani, Director of Human Resource and Administration, redeployed internally as Director of Corporate Services.
NSIB: Airohiuodion Omonzogie, Director of Corporate Services at NiMet, moves to NSIB; Baro Minabawarre, Director of Corporate Services at NSIB, redeployed to NiMet as Director of Human Resource and Administration. Public affairs leadership also shuffled, with Bimbo Oladeji moving from NSIB to NiMet.
Finance Directorate: Muonemeh Lotenna, Director of Finance and Accounts at NAMA, moves to NSIB; Okundaye Folake, Director of Finance and Accounts at NSIB, assumes the same role at NAMA.
NCAA: Director of Special Duties, Horatius Egua, relieved of his appointment immediately and instructed to hand over all properties. Augustina Erah, previously without a position, appointed as Director of Special Duties.
The Permanent Secretary confirmed that the redeployments take immediate effect, signaling a major restructuring in the leadership of Nigeria’s aviation sector.
