Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she began smoking at the age of 13 and battled the addiction for 27 years, alongside struggles with alcohol, masturbation, and prolonged anger issues.
The actress shared her testimony during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church, describing her challenges as “demonic oppression” and attributing her freedom from the addictions to divine intervention.
“I smoked since I was 13. God healed me from masturbation, too. I have known myself to have sexual intercourse in the dream ever since I was a child,” Dikeh said, emphasizing the spiritual nature of her struggle.
She explained that her smoking addiction stemmed from exposure to her father’s habit and urged parents to avoid exposing their children to harmful practices.
The 40-year-old also disclosed that God recently delivered her from “demonic anger,” which had previously affected her personal relationships and overall life.
Following her testimony, Pastor Jerry Eze prayed over the actress, declaring that “the burden of sin is broken” and describing her as “a voice in her generation.”
Dikeh’s testimony highlights her journey from addiction and personal struggles to spiritual healing and renewed purpose.
