Ethiopian Airlines Crowned ‘Best Airline in Africa’ for 8th Consecutive Year at 2025 SKYTRAX Awards

Often referred to as the “Oscars of the Aviation Industry”, the World Airline Awards are based on the largest airline passenger satisfaction survey conducted globally, with millions of travelers voting each year.

Ethiopian Airlines has once again been named the Best Airline in Africa by SKYTRAX at the 2025 World Airline Awards, marking the 8th consecutive year the airline has received the prestigious title. The announcement was made during a globally attended ceremony held at the Paris Air Show, Le Bourget Airport.

Alongside the top regional honor, Ethiopian Airlines swept several other major categories, including:

  • Best Airline in Africa,
  • Best Economy Class in Africa,
  • Best Business Class in Africa,
  • Best Business Class Onboard Catering in Africa.

These accolades underscore the airline’s consistent focus on customer experience, operational excellence, and strategic investments in modern aircraft, digital innovation, and sustainability. Serving over 140 international destinations, the carrier continues to expand its global footprint while maintaining high standards of service.

Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew expressed deep appreciation for the recognition, stating, “We are truly honored to be recognized once again as the Best Airline in Africa by SKYTRAX.
