Nigerian rapper and singer Ice Prince Zamani has announced that he does not intend to actively pursue music in the same way once he turns 40, revealing plans to shift his focus toward farming and agriculture.

The 37-year-old Jos-born artist made the disclosure during an appearance on Wake Up Nigeria, a programme on TVC Communications, where he spoke about his long-term personal and professional goals.

Ice Prince said he intends to return to school to study agriculture at university when he turns 40, describing farming as a major life ambition beyond entertainment.

“So in three years, I’m going to be 40 years old. I’m 37 now, and I have other goals for when I’m 40,” he said.

“I intend to go to university when I’m 40, study a course. I intend to go to the farm; I intend to be a farmer at that age,” he added.

According to him, music releases and album promotions will no longer be his primary focus at that stage of his life, as he plans to dedicate more time to agriculture.

“So music releases or album releases are not something I intend to be chasing at that age. I intend to study agriculture because I want to be on the farm,” he said.

The rapper recently released his fifth studio album titled Testimony of Grace on May 1, 2026. The 13-track project blends rap and Afrobeats and features collaborations with artists such as Niniola, Skiibii, and Sinzu.

Ice Prince also addressed his relationship with former record label Chocolate City, saying there was no conflict when he left the label and that he still maintains strong ties with former labelmates including Jesse Jagz, MI Abaga, and Young L.

“I always tell people I’m one of the only artists in the world who left his record label with no drama,” he said, adding that their relationship remains “family.”

The rapper also spoke about his recent weight loss journey, revealing that it began after his producer and close associate Chopstix advised him to refresh his public image.

According to him, he was encouraged to “lose the belly and grow a beard,” a change he says helped reshape his appearance.

Ice Prince’s comments have sparked conversations among fans about life after music and the growing trend of entertainers diversifying into agriculture and other sectors.
