President Bola Tinubu is set to inaugurate the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge this week as part of a two-day working visit to Lagos, according to Gboyega Akosile.
In posts on X on Monday, Akosile invited residents to welcome the President and highlighted that Tinubu would commission several iconic projects during his visit from Wednesday, April 8 to Thursday, April 9, 2026.
“The Ojota-Opebi link bridge is ready! Yes, it will be flagged off this week by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. This is a transformational and strategic project delivered by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. It is a promise made and well delivered!” Akosile said.
Other projects scheduled for inauguration include the Lagos State Geographic Information Service, the Lagos Multi-agency Building, the Tolu Schools Complex, the Maracana Stadium with 19 mini-football pitches, and the Lagos Food Logistics Hub.
The Tolu Schools Complex, spread over 11.7 hectares, comprises 36 schools across primary, junior, and senior secondary levels and is expected to serve over 20,000 students. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described it as “the largest school community in Africa” with modern classrooms, football fields, basketball courts, and other facilities.
Sanwo-Olu emphasised that education remains central to his administration’s vision for Lagos, pledging to continue providing access to quality learning environments for every child.
