Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has confirmed that Victor Osimhen is available for his side’s UEFA Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.

The Turkish Super Lig champions will host Diego Simeone’s men at the RAMS Park on Wednesday in a crucial European encounter.

Osimhen returned to training with Galatasaray on Monday after featuring for Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The 27-year-old forward had raised injury concerns after limping off during the Super Eagles’ semi-final defeat to hosts Morocco.

The striker subsequently missed Nigeria’s third-place match against Egypt, sparking fears over his fitness ahead of Galatasaray’s Champions League fixture.

However, Buruk allayed those concerns, revealing that Osimhen trained fully with his teammates following his return to Turkey.

“Osimhen joined the squad yesterday. He trained with us, and it was a good training session,” Buruk said ahead of the game.

Osimhen’s availability is a major boost for Galatasaray as they prepare to face the Spanish giants in their quest for progression in the UEFA Champions League.
