Air Peace Limited, Nigeria’s largest carrier and West Africa’s aviation leader, has been formally inducted into the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) at its Quarterly Members’ Evening and Induction Ceremony held on September 25, 2025, in Lagos.
Themed “Trade Without Borders: Aviation as a Catalyst for Bilateral Growth between Nigeria and the UK,” the event attracted corporate leaders, investors, and policymakers, underscoring the pivotal role of aviation in advancing trade and diplomacy.
Delivering the keynote address, “Runways to Revenue: Leveraging Aviation to Deepen Nigerian Investment Opportunities,” Air Peace Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema, highlighted how aviation reduces trade costs, boosts tourism, and unlocks bilateral growth opportunities.
NBCC President and Chairman of Council, Prince Abimbola Olashore, praised Air Peace for “challenging the status quo in global aviation and redefining Nigeria’s trade links with the UK.” Similarly, Dr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, Chairman of the Chamber’s Membership Committee, commended Onyema’s leadership, recalling his pivotal role in securing financing for the airline’s first aircraft.
In just over a decade, Air Peace has become the largest airline in West and Central Africa, with a fleet of over 40 aircraft and multiple domestic, regional, and international routes, including its flagship Lagos–London service. With its Abuja–London launch slated for October 2025, the airline continues to cement its role as a trailblazer in Nigerian aviation and a vital connector in global commerce.
