Nigerian Air Force Debunks Fake 2025/2026 Recruitment Messages

NAF also advised the public to follow only official communication channels for accurate information and to report suspicious activity to authorities.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has warned the public to disregard fraudulent recruitment messages circulating on social media platforms, falsely claiming that the NAF has commenced recruitment for the 2025/2026 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) and Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC).

In a statement released on Thursday, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame described the messages as completely false and cautioned Nigerians against falling victim to online scams.

“The Nigerian Air Force wishes to state that no such recruitment exercise is currently ongoing,” Ejodame said.
“We urge members of the public to disregard these messages in their entirety.”

He reiterated that the NAF’s recruitment process is free, transparent, and merit-based, stressing that no fees are charged at any stage, nor are third-party agents used.

The Air Force emphasized that any legitimate recruitment drive would be officially announced through credible national newspapers, NAF’s official website, and its verified social media handles.

NAF also advised the public to follow only official communication channels for accurate information and to report suspicious activity to authorities.

“The Nigerian Air Force is committed to integrity, transparency, and efficient service delivery to the nation while projecting air power to save lives and properties of all Nigerians,” Ejodame added.
