Tinubu Orders Immediate Execution of Approved Infrastructure Projects

At the 2025 PPP Summit, President Tinubu pushes for swift action, pledging faster approvals and stronger public-private collaboration.

President Tinubu has directed that all approved infrastructure projects across Nigeria must move from planning stages to immediate real-time execution. The firm directive was issued during the 2025 Nigeria Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Summit held in Abuja on Tuesday.

Themed “Unlocking Nigeria’s Potential: The Role of Public-Private Partnerships in Delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the summit was organized by the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC). President Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, emphasized the need for urgency and accountability in implementing critical infrastructure.

“Our national aspirations far exceed what public budgets alone can deliver. That is why we must innovate and work together,” Tinubu stated. “We are not looking for investors to carry burdens. We’re offering opportunities to create value.”

The president stressed that the era of relying solely on government funding for infrastructure is over. Instead, his administration aims to intensify collaboration with private partners while fast-tracking approvals for viable projects. He also called for improved coordination among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to eliminate delays and bureaucratic red tape.

Tinubu reaffirmed that his administration is committed to delivering sustainable and inclusive infrastructure as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
