Love Ogah, daughter of renowned Nigerian clergyman and founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has shared a chilling account of an assassination attempt on her father during her secondary school years.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Ogah recounted the terrifying incident when a group of hired assassins stormed their family home, openly declaring their mission to kill Bishop Oyedepo.
“They came and said they came to kill my father,” she said. “They searched everywhere, room to room, but couldn’t find him.”
According to her, the assailants spent hours combing through the house in search of the preacher but failed to locate him. The family, she said, watched in disbelief as the situation unfolded like a scene from a movie.
What was even more shocking, Ogah added, was that Bishop Oyedepo later revealed he had been physically present in the house the entire time. Yet, the attackers were unable to see him.
“My father came out and said he saw them the whole time — they just couldn’t see him. All of us were looking like it was a film trick,” she recalled.
She emphasized that the family believes the clergyman was divinely protected, describing the experience as a supernatural act of deliverance.
Bishop David Oyedepo is widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential religious leaders, with his ministry spanning several decades and his church boasting a global following.
