The Governor Nasir Idris has approved the immediate payment of March 2026 salaries to all state government workers, the Kebbi State Government announced on Monday.

According to a statement posted on the state’s official X handle, the decision aims to enable civil servants and other government employees to make adequate preparations for the forthcoming Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

“The Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), has approved the immediate payment of March 2026 salaries to all state government workers. This decision was taken to enable civil servants and other government employees to make proper preparations ahead of Eid al-Fitr celebrations,” the statement read.

The early release of salaries aligns with measures adopted by other Nigerian states, including Zamfara, Kano, and Kogi, aimed at easing financial burdens on public sector workers during festive periods.

Governor Idris’ directive is expected to provide timely financial relief and support for workers in planning for the celebrations with their families.
