Chairman of the Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, describing his administration as God-fearing, people-centred, and development-driven.

Obi Cubana made the remarks during a visit to the Government House in Asaba, alongside Pastor Jerry Eze, Founder of Streams of Joy International, who was in the state for the dedication of the Cubana Millennium City project.

The visit underscored the growing collaboration between the Delta State Government and private investors aimed at accelerating urban development and stimulating economic growth in the state.

Expressing strong confidence in Governor Oborevwori’s leadership, Obi Cubana declared that Delta State is on the right path under the current administration.

“When the righteous is on the throne, the state rejoices. Delta State is indeed blessed to have a God-fearing and development-oriented Governor. Delta State is in very good hands,” he said.

He also praised the Governor for his accessibility and openness to investors, describing the administration as investor-friendly.

“Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State, thanks for access always. We are bringing magic to Delta State,” Obi Cubana added.

Speaking on the Cubana Millennium City (CMC) Asaba project, the Cubana Group Chairman described the development as a landmark initiative, referring to it as “the Jewel on the Niger.” He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to timely delivery, assuring investors and prospective homeowners that the first phase of the estate would be completed and ready for occupation by December 2026.

Cubana Millennium City Asaba is designed as a premium mixed-use development expected to further boost Asaba’s profile as a fast-growing urban centre and investment destination. The project aligns with Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, which focuses on accelerated development, economic growth, and improved quality of life for Deltans.
