The SIFAX Group has donated and commissioned a series of community projects aimed at transforming social, economic, and spiritual life in the Isade-Elero and Pampa-Isade communities of Ijebu North-East Local Government Area, Ogun State.
The newly unveiled projects include the Chief Samson Afolabi Centre for Information and Technology Services, a 100-seater ICT hub; the Isade Central Mosque; a Community Security Office (Elero Security Post); 27 open market stalls; and a modern recreational facility.
These interventions add to a long list of previous initiatives by SIFAX Group and its Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, including the construction of a community health centre, road grading, and the building of St. Mark’s Church auditorium, hall, and vicarage.
Speaking at the commissioning on Saturday, September 13, 2025, Deacon Dr. Wale Afolabi, elder brother of the chairman, reaffirmed the company’s vision of supporting grassroots development.
“SIFAX Group and Dr. Taiwo Afolabi believe in social impact through infrastructural provision, human capital development, and economic empowerment for the vulnerable. It is this same vision that underlines the support we are providing for these communities today,” he said.
The Chairman of Ijebu North-East LGA, Hon. Folusho Badejo, praised the intervention, noting that such private initiatives complement government efforts.
“These kinds of projects help augment our work as a local government. I am particularly excited about the markets and the ICT centre, as they are projects we also aspire to provide,” he remarked.
The Baale of Isade-Elero, Chief Moses Sunday Odunuga, described the projects as “a prayer answered”, expressing gratitude to God, SIFAX Group, and Dr. Afolabi for sustained contributions to community development.
Dignitaries at the event included Major General S. A. Odunsi (Rtd.), Chairman of the Project Committee; Revd. Canon Mathew Kolade, Vicar of Saint Mark’s Anglican Church; and Rafiu Oluwakemi Lawal, Chief Imam of Isade Mosque.
The commissioning was celebrated with cultural displays, poetry recitations, parades, and joint participation of Christians and Muslims, symbolising unity and renewed community pride.
With these milestone projects, SIFAX Group once again demonstrated how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can directly uplift lives, proving that when businesses give back, entire communities thrive.
