BASL’s Remi Jibodu to Speak on PPP Prospects at ABSE 2025 Aviation Summit

This year’s summit, themed “Investment Opportunities in Airport Public-Private Partnerships,” aligns with Nigeria’s push for renewed aviation infrastructure through collaborative investment models.

Mr. Remi Jibodu, Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head of Aeronautics and Cargo at Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), has been invited as a distinguished guest speaker at the 10th Airport Business Summit and Expo (ABSE) 2025, set to hold from July 15–17 at the NIGAV Expo Centre, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

Mr. Jibodu will deliver a key presentation titled “Airport Public-Private Partnership: The Prospect and Challenges” on July 16th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. His 30-minute address will be followed by a 10-minute interactive Q&A session.

BASL, the operator of Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2)—Nigeria’s first and longest-running airport concession—brings nearly two decades of proven Public-Private Partnership (PPP) success to the conversation. MMA2 has become a national benchmark for how private sector innovation can drive public infrastructure excellence.

Mr. Jibodu’s session is expected to provide valuable perspectives on the opportunities, pitfalls, and policy dynamics surrounding PPPs in Nigeria’s aviation landscape.

Drawing on BASL’s 18-year operational history, his presentation will offer practical strategies for sustainable investment, stakeholder alignment, and long-term value creation in airport development.

ABSE 2025 will feature key aviation figures, including the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, and the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, along with state commissioners, aviation CEOs, and top-tier investors.

BASL reaffirmed its commitment to supporting reforms and policy dialogue aimed at elevating Nigeria’s aviation sector. “We are proud to share the MMA2 story and promote models that can attract new investment and improve airport service delivery nationwide,” the company stated.
