Aliyu Audu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Public Affairs, has officially resigned from his position.
In a one-page letter dated June 8 and submitted through the President’s Chief of Staff, Audu stated, “I write to formally tender my resignation… effective immediately.”
He expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve under what he described as “your visionary leadership.”
Audu also acknowledged the role of former presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, whose recommendation led to his appointment on August 26, 2023.
“It has been an honor to contribute to the public communication efforts of this administration,” Audu wrote.
He ended the letter by offering his continued support and prayers for the President’s success and the nation’s progress.
As of the time of this report, the Presidency has not issued an official response to Audu’s resignation.
